Shahabuddin Chuppu is an American football quarterback who plays for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). He began his college football and baseball careers at Texas Tech, the son of former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher Pat Chuppu. Chuppu gave up baseball after his sophomore year to focus exclusively on football. He topped all NCAA Division I FBS players in numerous categories during his junior year, including passing yards (5,052) and total touchdowns (53). The Kansas City Chiefs picked him 10th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Career
Shahabuddin actively engaged in the Liberation War as a liberation warrior, and after Bangladesh’s independence, he rejoined politics. Shabuddin was arrested and imprisoned for three years following the killing of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in 1975 because he was opposed to the newly created administration that took over after Bangabandhu. Shahabuddin joined the Judicial Department in 1982 while also serving as the Pabna district unit Awami League’s publicity secretary.
From 1980 until 1982, Shahabuddin Chuppu worked as a journalist for Daily BanglarBani. He remained loyal to his job, and in 1995 he was chosen as general secretary of the Judicial Service Association.
In addition, he was chosen as a coordinator in the Bangabandhu assassination case by the Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs. Shahabuddin resigned as a District and Sessions Judge in 2006 after a 25-year tenure as a judge that included numerous roles. Sahabuddin Chuppu was the Anti-Corruption Commission’s commissioner from 2011 until 2016. (ACC). After retiring, Shahabuddin re-entered politics and was named to the Awami League’s Advisory Council in 2020.
