He received several prizes and distinctions for his theatrical work, including the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Award, the Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation Award, and the Mehboob Jamal Zahedi Award. His lifeless remains were transported to his home in Ghazipur, where his family, relatives, and close colleagues paid their final respects. After Namaz-e-Janaza at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, he was buried in Dhaka’s Banani Cemetery.
