Early Life:- Vinod Kapri, a Kumaoni, was born in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, but is originally from Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. His father served in the Army and was stationed in several locations around the country. Vinod Kapri had his primary and secondary education in Kendriya Vidyalayas in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Udhampur, Siliguri, West Bengal, and Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
Professional Career:- When he was just 20 years old, he began his career as a journalist with the Hindi newspaper Jansandesh. The paper was owned by well-known politician Chaudhary Devi Lal and operated in the face of political intervention. Vinod left his work after only a few months. In the same year, 1992, he began working as a trainee at DainikJagran. He began working as a trainee reporter for Zee News in 1995.
