Early Life: – Mukaghali Makatayev was born on 9, February 1931 in Karasaz village in the Narynkol district of Almaty Region. He grows up in Almaty with his parents and sibling. Mukaghali has had an interest in poems from childhood. Makatayev completes his schooling in his village. He also Complete his study at Kazakh state university in 1948. After graduating he starts teaching in the school of Russian language and join Radio as a speaker.
Professional Career: – From 1952 until 1969, he worked at a high school as a Russian language teacher, a Kazakh Radio speaker, the executive secretary of The Soviet frontier newspaper, and a literary contributor to the newspapers Socialist Kazakhstan, Culture and Life, and Star magazine. In 1970, he became a member of Kazakhstan’s Writers Union. He attended the Moscow Institute of Arts and Letters from 1973 to 1974. The lyrical writings of Mukaghali Makatayev were first published in 1948. His poem “Appassionata” made him famous. The poems “Lenin” and “The Moor” were dedicated to Lenin and Marx, respectively.
