Early Life: – He captained Vic Metro in the 2010 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, averaging 28 disposals at 83% efficiency in three games before getting injured. He also led his school’s First XVIII team (St Kevin’s College) and represented them in the APS against AGS representative game. He had 47 disposals and was named best on ground in the Cannons’ 58-point victory over Gippsland Power in the 2010 TAC Cup Grand Final.
Professional Career: – He made his AFL debut for the Bulldogs as a replacement player in Round 5 against Fremantle at Patersons Stadium, replacing Tom Williams at three-quarter time. Wallis was nominated for the 2012 AFL Rising Star award in round four of the 2012 AFL season. Wallis sustained a horrific leg injury on July 23, 2016, when he kicked the bottom portion of the left leg with his right foot while being tackled by Shane Savage midway through in the last quarter of the Western Bulldogs’ 15-point loss against St Kilda, breaking both the tibia and fibula. The injury ended his season, and he thus missed the club’s premiership victory in October.
