He appeared in Fabrizio Costa’s TV series The Black Arrow, which broadcast on Canale 5. In 2008, he began acting in the film The Past Is a Foreign Land, for which he won the best actor awards at the Rome Film Festival and the Miami International Film Festival.
Riondino won the Guglielmo Biraghi Award at the 67th Venice International Film Festival which was named EFP Shooting Star at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2010. Since 2012, he has played the title character in the RAI TV series The Young Montalbano.
