Josh Jacobs was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on February 11, 1998. His father, Marty Jacobs, worked as a shipping and receiving clerk at their neighborhood warehouse, while his mother, Lachelle, was a homemaker. In 2006, his parents split; he desired to live with his father, but due to unforeseen circumstances, his father ordered him and his four siblings to live with his mother. Which he despised since his mother cheated him out of his child support payments. As a result, both parents struggle for custody of the children.

Jacob’s family suffered greatly as a result of the court dispute between the parents for custody and his being from a low-income household. In middle school, he was homeless, with no food on the table and no roof over his head. But it didn’t stop him from graduating from McLain High School, where he had the highest football high school total of 5,372 yards and 46 touchdowns. He is currently enrolled at the University of Alabama and will shortly graduate with a degree.
