Jane Austen Biography, Wiki:- Jane Austen was born in 1775 in Steventon, England. Her father, George Austen, was the parish priest and mostly schooled her at home.  Austen, the seventh of eight children, spent her whole life with her parents, initially at Steventon and afterward in Bath, Southampton, and Chawton. Her father was the parish priest of Steventon, and though not affluent, her family was highly connected and educated. Jane and her sister Cassandra were largely schooled at home, except for a brief stint at Abbey School.

Jane’s bond with her sister was maybe the closest she had in her life. Her countless letters to and from Cassandra provide the foundation of most of what Austen scholars know about Jane. And this strong friendship may have inspired several works in which Austen explores the bonds between sisters.

Illness and Death Cause

Jane Austen was feeling ill by early 1816. However, she ignored the warning indications. Her life began to fall apart by the middle of the same year. According to her biographer Zachary Cope, Addison’s illness was the cause of her death. The eventual cause of her death, however, is claimed to be Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Despite her illness, she kept working. Austen made light of her sickness, referring to it as “bile” and rheumatism. As her health deteriorated, she encountered difficulties walking and excessive tiredness.

Austen was bedridden by mid-April. She was transported to Winchester for treatment in May, by which time she was in excruciating agony. Jane Austen died on July 18, 1817, at the age of 41, in Winchester.

 Jane Austen Early life, Education

Mrs. Ann Cawley sent Austen and her sister Cassandra to Oxford to be schooled in 1783, and she later took them to Southampton when she relocated there later that year. Both girls were taken home in the autumn after contracting typhus, and Austen almost died. Austen was homeschooled until she began attending boarding school in Reading with her sister in early 1785 at the Reading Abbey Girls’ School, which was run by Mrs . La Tournelle, who had a cork leg and a passion for theatre The school curriculum most likely included French, spelling, embroidery, dance and music, and even theatre. The sisters went home before December 1786 because the Austen family couldn’t afford the two girls’ school tuition. Austen “never again resided anywhere beyond the boundaries of her familial surroundings” after 1786.

Jane Austen

Career

Austen’s works were published anonymously. A woman who wanted to be a full-time writer was seen to be demeaning to her femininity. A woman’s ideal duties were mother and wife, with writing serving as a supplementary pastime. Through her brother Henry, publisher Thomas Egerton consented to publish Sense and Sensibility, one of Jane Austen’s greatest works, which, like all of her previous novels except Pride and Prejudice, was published at the author’s financial risk.

Her works were published in bigger editions, with Sense and Sensibility selling around 750 copies and Emma selling over 2,000. However, it is unclear if Austen or the publisher chose to produce more copies than normal. She earned 140 pounds from Sense and Sensibility, which is around 10,800 pounds. Then she sold the rights to Pride and Prejudice to Egerton, and the novel became an instant success. Mansfield Park was published in 1814 by Egerton.  Within six months after release, all copies were sold. Her revenues from this novel were higher than those from her prior publications. Austen switched from Egerton to John Murray, a well-known London publisher, in mid-1815. In December 1815, he published Emma, and in 1816, he released the second edition of Mansfield Park.

Jane Austen began her career as a singer and dancer in Punjabi music videos in 2019 and quickly rose to prominence. She has published over 25 music videos as of 2021, and most of her songs have received millions of views on various social media platforms.
