Early Life: – The Senate impeached Ayu in November 1993, after he was a vocal opponent of the Interim National Government, which was formed when the elected president Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola was stopped from entering office. However, in General Sani Abacha’s military regime, he eventually became the Minister of Education. He convened a workshop on Technical Education in Nigeria in March 1994, looking for methods to learn from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
