Brian was born in the Channel Islands on October 29, 1944, to Herbert Edward Arthur Hines and Eva Lillian Hines, and grew up in Tyseley, Birmingham, England, where he attended Yardley Grammar School.  At the age of 12, he had his first solo performance as a musician and began his professional career, fronting Denny Laine and the Diplomats, who also included Bev Bevan, future drummer with the Move and Electric Light Orchestra.


In 1964, he joined The Moody Blues as a guitarist and vocalist, contributing to early recordings such as “The Magnificent Moodies” until leaving ways in 1966, right before the band transitioned to a more progressive sound. However, it wasn’t until 1971 that Laine achieved new heights when he formed Wings with Paul McCartney. He played numerous responsibilities as a prominent member, including singing and guitar. His songwriting ability was obvious in co-written successes such as “Mull of Kintyre,” a UK best-seller.

Denny Laine went solo after Wings broke in 1981, demonstrating his musical diversity with recordings that touched on numerous genres such as rock, blues, and folk. Cause of death

Laine developed COVID in 2022, followed by many lung procedures, including a collapsed lung. Laine’s musical friends and supporters planned a benefit performance on Nov. 27, 2023, at the legendary Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood, California, after his wife started a GoFundMe page. Laine died of interstitial lung disease on December 5, 2023, in Naples, Florida, at the age of 79. His wife announced his official Facebook and Instagram profiles.
