However, it wasn’t until 1971 that Laine achieved new heights when he formed Wings with Paul McCartney. He played numerous responsibilities as a prominent member, including singing and guitar. His songwriting ability was obvious in co-written successes such as “Mull of Kintyre,” a UK best-seller.

Cause of death

Laine developed COVID in 2022, followed by many lung procedures, including a collapsed lung. Laine’s musical friends and supporters planned a benefit performance on Nov. 27, 2023, at the legendary Troubadour nightclub in West Hollywood, California, after his wife started a GoFundMe page. Laine died of interstitial lung disease on December 5, 2023, in Naples, Florida, at the age of 79. His wife announced his official Facebook and Instagram profiles.
