Career
He began teaching as an untrained teacher at a school in South Mugirango before moving on to Kiabonyoru High School. In 1987, he enlisted in the National Youth Service for three months of intense training before enrolling in university. He was sent to a school in Bomet after graduating from university, but he refused to go. He requested a transfer but was threatened with interdiction, so he declined. Danstan then returned to teach under the board at Kiabonyoru High School, where he remained until 1992 when he was restored by the TSC. He was subsequently assigned as a graduate teacher at Kiabonyoru until 1994 when he was elevated to deputy head teacher.
After traveling to Nairobi, Omari was able to get a position as a hotel manager in Nyeri after responding to a newspaper job post. He worked for six months before landing a position as the manager of a Nairobi nightclub. Danstan won the TSC interdiction case after four years and was reimbursed all of the money he didn’t earn during the four years he was banned from employment. He used the money to buy four matatus and was subsequently assigned as a teacher in South Mugirango. Later, he was sent to Muthurwa Secondary School. He was admitted as an advocate on November 4, 2011. He then left his position as a children’s officer to work with Musyoki Mogaka and Company Advocates.
