Early Life:- Johnson began singing and playing guitar at the age of twelve. With his father Carl and drummer Nathan Reedy, he formed the Cody Johnson Band in 2006. Black and White Label was their debut album. In 2006, the band hired Matt Rogers as their lead guitarist and recorded a live CD, Live and Rocking, at Huntsville’s Shenanigans and Confetti Club. Johnson’s father departed the band after the record was published.
Professional Career: – With his father, Carl, and drummer Nathan Reedy, he founded the Cody Johnson Band in 2006. They collaborated on an album called Black and White Label. Matt Rogers joined the band as a lead guitarist in 2006, and the band recorded a live CD, Live and Rocking, in Huntsville’s Shenanigans and Confetti’s Club. Johnson’s father departed the band after the record was published. Danny Salinas joined the band on bass guitar in 2009. Six Strings One Dream, their first professionally produced album, was released in September 2009. Three of the album’s singles charted in the top ten of the Texas music charts. The band added Chris Whitten on violin and Jeff Smith on lead guitar after the album’s release. Whitten was replaced on violin by Jody Bartula.
