Lieutenant-General Muhammad Saeed succeeded him in the role on September 8, 2021. The Chief of General Staff is in charge of operations and intelligence at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Abbas was commissioned into the Baloch Regiment’s 41st Battalion.

According to police sources, the FIR was filed under sections 153A and 505 of the Pakistan Penal Code. According to the FIR, Shuaib incited people to revolt against institutions during his television interview. Officers have him locked up at the police station.
